Course Description
This course introduces statistical thinking and quantitative reasoning. Students learn to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret data using both descriptive and inferential statistical methods.
Topics Covered
- Data collection and sampling methods
- Descriptive statistics (measures of center, spread, position)
- Data visualization and graphical displays
- Probability basics and distributions
- Normal distribution and Central Limit Theorem
- Confidence intervals
- Hypothesis testing (one and two samples)
- Correlation and regression
- Chi-square tests
