Kling

Try another video model and notice how they differ.

~15 min read + 10 min hands-on

1 Why this tool matters

Kling is Kuaishou's text-to-video model out of China. It competes directly with Veo and Sora, and for certain subjects (especially stylized, cinematic shots) it is surprisingly strong. Today is about broadening your bench — when Veo gives you nothing you like, Kling is the second shot.

2 Walkthrough

  1. Go to klingai.com. Sign up with an email.
  2. Try a prompt you have already tried in Veo or Sora. Generate.
  3. Compare side by side. Notice stylistic differences.
  4. Try a prompt that emphasizes cinematography: A lone lighthouse keeper climbs a spiral staircase at dusk, warm lamplight glowing above. Anamorphic lens, cinematic, 8 seconds.
  5. Keep a short note: for what kind of scene does each model shine?

3 Your turn

Today’s exercise

Pick a scene and generate it in all three models you now know (Veo, Sora, Kling). Put them side by side. That comparison is your cheat sheet for the next year.

4 Pro tip

Worth keeping

Kling's free tier is generous, but queues are long during peak hours (GMT+8 business hours). Generate overnight (US time) for much faster results.
