1 Size Lineup Easy Activity
Line up 10 objects from smallest to biggest. Can everyone in your family agree on the order?
2 Shape Hunt Easy Activity
Walk around your home and find 5 circles, 5 rectangles, and 5 triangles. Draw what you found.
3 Texture Touch Box Medium Activity
Put 10 objects in a bag. Without looking, sort them by texture: smooth vs. rough. Then check — were you right?
4 Triple Sort Challenge Medium Activity
Take 20 objects. Sort them by color. Draw it. Sort them by size. Draw it. Sort them by shape. Draw it. Are the groups different?
5 Sort the Groceries Medium Discussion
Help put away groceries. Sort by: cold vs. not cold, then by type (fruit, dairy, grain). How many different ways can you sort food?
6 Invent Your Own Attribute Challenge Creative
Make up a brand new way to sort objects that nobody has tried — like 'things I would take on a trip' vs. 'things I would leave home.' Is it still sorting? Why or why not?
