1 Data About Me Easy Activity
Write down 5 pieces of data about yourself: height, age, shoe size, number of pets, favorite food.
2 Data Table Practice Easy Activity
Make a table with 3 columns: Name, Favorite Color, Number of Siblings. Fill it in for 5 people.
3 Data or Not Data? Medium Discussion
Write 10 statements. Sort them into 'Data' and 'Not Data.' Example: 'It is 72 degrees' (data if measuring temperature).
4 Family Data Collection Medium Activity
Collect 3 pieces of data about each family member. Put it all in one table. What patterns do you see?
5 Classroom Data Medium Group Activity
Collect data about shoes in the room: brand, color, size, type (sneaker/sandal/boot). Make a big table.
6 Design Your Own Data Table Challenge Creative
Think of something you want to learn about your neighborhood. Design a data table to collect the information. What columns do you need?
