Here is messy data: 'blue red blue green red blue red green blue blue.' Create a tally chart and frequency table. What is the most common color? Least common?

2 Build a Data Table Easy Activity

Create a data table for 5 classmates with columns: Name, Favorite Subject, Number of Siblings, Favorite Color. Fill it in by asking them.

3 Category Creator Medium Activity

You surveyed 20 people about their favorite hobby and got 18 different answers. Group them into 4-5 categories (Sports, Arts, Gaming, Reading, Other). Make a frequency table of the categories.

4 Data Check Challenge Medium Discussion

A student organized their data but their tally chart adds up to 23 when they surveyed 25 people. What might have gone wrong? List 3 possible explanations.

5 Real Data Organization Medium Activity

Take the raw data from your Session 3 survey and organize it into: (1) a complete data table, (2) a tally chart, and (3) a frequency table. Check that all three match.

6 Two-Way Table Challenge Critical Thinking

Create a table that shows TWO pieces of information at once. Example: Favorite lunch BY grade level. Each cell shows how many people in that grade chose that lunch. What patterns do you see?
