Print this page. Use it during the session. Keep it in your folder.

🟢 1. Today's letter — ج (jim)

Trace each jim. Start at the top curve, swoop down, and don't forget the dot underneath!

ج . . . . ج . . . . ج . . . . ج . . . . ج

Now try writing one by yourself:

Big jim! Make it huge — don't forget the dot:

The dot goes INSIDE the bowl, underneath. Like a little seed in a cup. 🌱

🟡 2. Find the jim

Circle every word that has the letter ج (jim) in it:

جَدّ     أَخ     جَميل     كبير     جوز     صَغير

Hint: jim can hide at the start of a word OR in the middle. Look carefully!

🟠 3. I can read these words

Read these three words out loud. Point to each one as you say it:

Picture Arabic Say it
👦
أَخ
akh
👧
أُخت
ukht
🤲
عِندي
in-di

After you read them, try this sentence out loud:

**عِندي أَخ.**
  *(indi akh — I have a brother.)*
**عِندي أُخت.**
  *(indi ukht — I have a sister.)*

🟣 4. Big or small? Sort your siblings

Think about the kids in your family (or pretend ones if you're the only one!). Write each name in the right box: big/older or small/younger than you.

كبير
(kbir — older)
صَغير
(saghīr — younger)

Now say it out loud:

**عِندي أَخ صَغير.**
*(I have a younger brother.)*
**عِندي أُخت كبيرة.**
*(I have an older sister.)*

🔵 5. Draw your family

Draw your brothers and sisters — or your cousins, or your best friend if you're an only child. Label each one أَخ or أُخت.

How many brothers?

عِندي _____ أَخ

How many sisters?

عِندي _____ أُخت

If you don't have any, write:

مَا عِندي
(ma indi — I don't have)

🌟 6. Mini-challenge (optional stretch)

Some Arabic names start with ج (jim)! Read them out loud:

**جَنى** (Jana)    **جود** (Joud)    **جَميل** (Jameel)    **جوري** (Jouri)    **جاد** (Jad)

Do you know anyone with a name that starts with ج? Write their name here:

Are they your أَخ, أُخت, cousin, or friend? _________________________________

📝 Tonight's home practice (1 minute)

Ask one person in your family how many brothers and sisters THEY have. Use Arabic if you can!

I asked... They have... Their names

Bonus: ask a grandparent or auntie — they usually have the best stories about their siblings.
