Workbook — Session 29: Animals in the Wild

Name: _________________________________

Print this page. Use it during the session. Keep it in your folder.

🟢 1. Today's letter — غ (ghayn)

Trace each ghayn. It's like a little curl with a dot on top. Start with the loop, then the tail.

غ . . . . غ . . . . غ . . . . غ . . . . غ

Now try writing one by yourself:

Big ghayn! Make it huge — don't forget the dot:

Say it out loud: "ghhh" — like you're gargling water at the back of your throat.

🟡 2. Find the ghayn

Circle every word that has the letter غ (ghayn) in it:

غَزال     أَسَد     غُراب     ثَعلَب     صَغير     نَسر

Hint: look for the curl with one dot on top.

🟠 3. I can read these words

Read these three words out loud. Point to each one as you say it:

Picture Arabic Say it
🦁
أَسَد
a-sad
🦌
غَزال
gha-zaal
🦅
نَسر
nasr

After you read them, ask someone nearby: "Which animal sounds the strongest to you?"

🟣 4. Sort the animals — big or small?

Some of these wild animals are big. Some are small. Write each one in the right box.

**أَسَد**    **غَزال**    **نَسر**    **ثَعلَب**    **ذِئب**    **قِرد**
🐘 Big (كَبير) 🐭 Small (صَغير)

There's no exactly-right answer — a fox feels small next to a lion, but huge next to a mouse. Pick what feels right to you.

🔵 5. Draw a wild animal

Pick your favorite wild animal from today. Draw it where it lives — maybe a mountain, a forest, or the sky. Write its Arabic name underneath.

🌟 6. Mini-challenge (optional stretch)

The gazelle (غَزال) lives in the hills and mountains of Lebanon and Syria. Try saying this little sentence out loud:

**الغَزال صَغير وَ سَريع.**

al-ghazaal sagheer wa saree' — "The gazelle is small and fast."

Can you find the غ? Circle it. How many did you find? _______
