Workbook — Session 41: Asking Questions

Name: _________________________________

Date: _________________________________

Print this page. Use it during the session. Keep it in your folder.

🟢 1. Today's letter — ه (ha)

Trace each ha. Notice the little loop — like a tiny balloon on a string.

ه . . . . ه . . . . ه . . . . ه . . . . ه

Now try writing one by yourself:

The letter ha changes shape depending on where it is in the word. Trace all four:

ه    ـه    ـهـ    هـ
start middle end alone

🟡 2. Find the ha

Circle every word that has the letter ه (ha) in it:

هَل؟     ماذا؟     هُنا     مين؟     هَذا     كيف؟

Hint: ha shows up A LOT in question words and pointing words.

🟠 3. I can read these questions

Read these out loud. Point to each one as you say it:

Meaning Arabic Say it
what?
شو؟
shu?
where?
وَين؟
wayn?
who?
مين؟
min?

Now ask a grown-up one of these questions about something in the room. Point at something and say شو؟ See what happens!

🟣 4. Match the question to the answer

Draw a line from each question on the left to the answer that fits on the right.

Question Answer
شو؟ (what?)
─ → 🕐 At three o'clock
وَين؟ (where?)
─ → 🍎 An apple
مين؟ (who?)
─ → 🏠 In the kitchen
إيمَتى؟ (when?)
─ → 👧 My sister

🔵 5. Draw a question

Think of one thing you want to ask someone in your family tonight. Draw a picture of the question. Write the Arabic question word under it.
