Notion's AI lives inside every page. Type /, pick an AI action, and it operates on your existing notes — summarize, expand, translate, rewrite, make into a table, turn into action items. If Notion is already where your knowledge lives, AI inside it is more useful than any external chatbot.
2 Walkthrough
- In any Notion page, type
/aiand explore the menu. - Drop your last meeting notes into a page. Select them.
- Run Summarize, then Find action items, then Translate → Spanish.
- Try AI blocks: a block that auto-summarizes anything you paste below it. Useful for running logs.
- Give Notion AI custom instructions (“You are a concise product manager”) so every action reflects your voice.

Today’s exercise
Take one messy set of meeting notes. Run it through three Notion AI actions: summarize, extract action items, draft a follow-up email. That transformation — five minutes, start to finish — is the habit.

Worth keeping
Notion AI has access only to the page you are on by default. To make it reason over your whole workspace, turn on Q&A in workspace settings and ask “What did we decide about X last quarter?”
