Print this page. Use it during the session. Keep it in your folder.
🟢 1. Today's letter — ت (ta)
Trace each ta. Start with the bowl, then add two dots on top.
Now try writing one by yourself. Don't forget the two dots!
Big ta! Make it huge — and put those two dots way up high:
🟡 2. Find the ta
Circle every word that has the letter ت (ta) in it:
تيتا بابا بَيت أُخت ماما
Hint: three of them have a ta. Look for the two little dots!
🟠 3. I can read these words
Read these three words out loud. Point to each one as you say it:
| Picture | Arabic | Say it |
|---|---|---|
| 👩 | ماما |
ma-ma |
| 👨 | بابا |
ba-ba |
| 👵 | تيتا |
tee-ta |
After you read them, point at someone in your family (or a picture) and say their family name in Arabic.
🟣 4. Match the family member to the picture
Draw a line from each Arabic word on the left to the right person on the right.
| Family word | Person | |
|---|---|---|
جِدُّو |
─ → | 👦 brother |
أَخ |
─ → | 👴 grandpa |
أُخت |
─ → | 👧 sister |
عَيلة |
─ → | 👨👩👧👦 the whole family |
🔵 5. Draw your family
Draw the people who live in your home (or come visit a lot). Label each one with the Arabic word.

Words you can use: ماما · بابا · تيتا · جِدُّو · أَخ · أُخت
🌟 6. Mini-challenge (optional stretch)
Count the people in your family. Write the number, then say this out loud:
(ʿayilti fiha _____ nas — "My family has _____ people.")
| How many people in my family? | Do I have an أَخ? | Do I have an أُخت? |
|---|---|---|
| _______ | yes / no | yes / no |
Some families are big, some are small, some live close, some live far. Every عَيلة counts.
📝 Tonight's home practice (1 minute)
Tonight, call one family member by their Arabic name. Say it loud and proud.
| I called this person... | ...by this Arabic name | They smiled / laughed / said something back |
|---|---|---|
