Workbook — Session 34: At My Grandmother's

Name: _________________________________

Date: _________________________________

Print this page. Use it during the session. Keep it in your folder.

🟢 1. Letter review — write your favorites

Today is a review day — no new letter! Pick three letters you already know and write each one three times. Show off your best ones.

My letters:
Letter 1 Letter 2 Letter 3

Which one feels easiest now? Circle it. Which one is still tricky? Put a little star ⭐ next to it.

🟡 2. Find the letters — teta hunt

Look at the word تيتا (teta). It has the letter ت in it — twice!

Circle every word below that has a ت in it:

تيتا     حِكاية     بَيتي     كُك     اِشتَقتِلَّك     قَعَدنا

Hint: four of them have a ت somewhere. Look carefully — sometimes it's at the start, sometimes hiding in the middle.

🟠 3. I can read these words

Read these three words out loud. Point to each one as you say it. These are all things at teta's house today:

Picture Arabic Say it
👵
تيتا
te-ta
🍪
كُك
kuk
📖
حِكاية
hi-ka-yeh

After you read them, tell a grown-up: "I just read three Arabic words!"

🟣 4. Match what happens at teta's house

Draw a line from each Arabic phrase to the picture that matches.

Arabic What it means
اِشتَقتِلَّك
─ → 🫖 We sat together
أُكِل بَيتي
─ → 🤗 I missed you
قَعَدنا
─ → 🥘 Homemade food
كُك
─ → 🍪 Cake / cookie

🔵 5. Draw teta's house

Draw something you would see at your grandma's house — or at the grandma in our story today. Maybe a teapot, a plate of cookies, a balcony, a couch with too many pillows.

One Arabic word for something in my picture: ________________

🌟 6. Mini-challenge (optional stretch)

Build a tiny sentence about visiting teta. Fill in the blanks:

قَعَدنا عِند تيتا وَأَكَلنا _________ .

(We sat at teta's and we ate _________ .)

What did you eat? Write the Arabic word if you know it (كُك? أُكِل بَيتي?) or write it in English. Either way counts!

My answer: ________________________________

📝 Tonight's home practice (1 minute)

Call, video-chat, or talk to a grandparent, auntie, uncle, or older family friend tonight. Say one Arabic phrase to them.

I said this... ...to this person They said...
_____________

Try اِشتَقتِلَّك (to a man) or اِشتَقتِلِّك (to a woman). They might cry a little. That's okay.

Bring this workbook back next session.
